XMAS In The Philippines

Christmas in comming up and we are now already 2 month in the Philippines. The readers of my German Homepage always ask me, how we celebrate Christmas in the Philippines. They can not imagine how it would be to celebrate at 30°++ C while it is usually cold in December in Germany. But well, since the Philippines are a mostly catholic country, Christmas is always and everywhere. Houses are decorated with hundreds and thousands of small lamps, department stores set up their Christmas sales and on December 24th, there are parties everywhere in the neigborhood, at least here in the provinces. The Filipinos like to go to church on every possible day at four o'clock in the morning already during this time.
We will celebrate christmas here with a BBQ party at the house. My parents in law are here for a visit and a few nighbors will show up. There will be pork steaks, potao salad, french fries and rice of course for the filipinos.
