As I said erlier, I finaly managed to get my diving gear ready an over the last weeks we made our first dives here in Loon, Bohol. The reef we have here more or less right in front of our house in merely untouched because nobody else dives here. Dive Boats from well known Alona Beach pass by here every day on their way to Cabilao Island, which they call their Shark Point. That name is because there used to be a school of Hammer Heads around the Island but they have disapeared for some reason.
Anyway,we made three dives so far and I managed to put a small video together so you can see what the diving here looks like. The video was made with my small Casio Z85 Digtal Camera in an underwater housing but without any light from a lamp. That makes the video lacking colors but it's nice anyway. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing your underwater experience in Bohol. Hope to dive with you in some other time. Try some other spots in the country like Puerto Galera, Mindoro, this spot is great.
Hi The Wanderer,
I read your article at http://living-philippines.blogspot.com/2007/12/cost-of-living-in-philippines.html and I was hoping that you were able to make an update to that? The reason is that I am planning to move to the Philippines and so far your blog has been the one providing the best information to date.
Thank you,
Mikael
So why don't you comment on that article?
Ther are only minor changes in the cost of living in the Philippines, so there is no reason for an update.
Few changes got cheaper (gas for cooking, gasoline etc. others rise a little, like meat) In the end it's the same money you use by the end of the month!
Thank you for the fast reply. The reason was that I didn't believe that you monitored the older posts but I guess I was wrong. I am sorry about that. Thank you for answering my question. I really appreciate it.
/Mikael
